Domino is one of the few non-slot titles among 3Win8's own games. It is built on the old tile game, so if you have never played dominoes, a few minutes on the basics will make the table far easier to follow.
How domino tiles work
Each domino is a rectangular tile with a line across the middle that splits its face into two square ends. Each end is either blank or marked with a number of spots, known as pips. The backs of all the tiles in a set are identical, either plain or printed with the same design, so you can't tell one face-down tile from another.
A full group of tiles is called a set, and sometimes a deck. Like a pack of cards or a pair of dice, one set can be used to play many different games.
The 28-tile double-six set
The traditional set used in Europe has 28 tiles. That number is every possible pairing of the values 0 to 6, including the doubles such as 0-0 and 6-6. Knowing this helps at the table: once you have seen which tiles are out, you can work out which ones are left.
Where dominoes began
The earliest written references to dominoes come from China during the Song Dynasty. One Song-era text cited on the subject is attributed to Zhou Wei. From China the tiles spread, and many local rule sets grew up around them.
